Toulouse – France

12th september – 11th november 2012

In 2000, while on assignment in Southwest France for National Geographic, Reza discovered the pink city and fell in love. In September 2012, Reza retraces his steps and – in collaboration with the Trois minutes d’avance agency and the city hall of Toulouse – he offers to share his worldview through a new project along the banks of the Garonne, entitled War and Peace.

An outdoor exhibit for all

From September 12th through November 11th, members of the public and photography admirers can walk and discover this outdoor exhibit that displays 25 very large photographs tracing the career of Reza.

Garonne Year 2012

The exhibit, taking place at Year of Garonne 2012, offers a walk along the water during which the viewer, while listening to the river, is led to discover, through the photographs of Reza, the destiny of men and women who lived through the hardships of the century, their scars and their moments of beauty on display

Meet the artist

During the whole exhibition, conferences, debates, autograph sessions and screenings are organized in order for the public to get to know the Reza.

Image as a language

In conjunction, Reza offers an educational program around the photography with the youth from Reynerie, a neighborhood of Toulouse. Through their meetings, the language of the image becomes a way for youth to make a change.
