REZA’s work as a part of the “Time in Turkey” photographic project will be exhibited in London from May 15 to June 1, 2012. The Turkish weekly magazine Zaman celebrates its 25th anniversary by drawing attention to 25 internationally recognized photographers. Each one of them has described in an image, one aspect of Turkey. Thus, creating a visual journey of this country. These criss-crossed optical testimonies have become the subject of the book “Time in Turkey”; and the topic of an exhibition traveling around the world and building bridges of understanding between cultures through photography.

NYPH’12 helds an exhibition of REZA’s works. “On the Razor’s Edge: Between Documentary and Fine Art Photography is a featured exhibition at the New York Photo Festival in DUMBO, Brooklyn, May 16-20, 2012.

The artists are leading documentary and editorial photographers working today and include Bruce Davidson, Rina Castelnuovo, Lori Grinker, Platon, Reza, and Eugene Richards. The show is curated by Glenn Ruga.

The exhibition concept explores how photographs based on representations of our world can exist both as documentary and as fine art, and how the meaning of the work can be transformed in each environment. Each of the artists represented here produce powerful work on important global themes. The emphasis on the meaning of this work can vary if the work appears in a commercial art gallery, non-commercial art gallery, book, museum, or on the internet.” (source NYPH’12 website)

May.14 – New start for St-Sebastien Exhibit

REZA’s exhibition “Une Terre, Une Famille” (One World, One Tribe) will resume at the Western France town of Saint-Sebastien-sur-Loire after having been vandalized on the night of May 5th, 2012.

The Senator and Mayor of Saint-Sebastien-sur-Loire, Mr. Joel Guerriau will officially open the exhibition anew on Monday May 14th, 2012 at the town hall. The opening ceremony will be public.

Three events with Reza at the Mairie X in Paris: Exhibition, Book signature and screening around Reza’s new book, “L’Envol” (Soaring). A documentary made by Iranian artist Ali Badri will also be screened for the occasion.

Feb.24 – Reza conference @ Euromed Business School

Reza is invited by the Euromed Business School in Marseille, France for a Conference and Exhibition on February 24th, 2012.

The exhibition “War + Peace” will be within the school and the conference on “Socialization by Image” with be held on February 24, at 6 pm in the Amphi A of the school.
