“The story of a promise made by REZA to his son to travel around the world together. Chemins Parallèles documents the first leg of their journey along the legendary Silk Road from Beijing to Paris.”

“Photographer for National Geographic Magazine and humanitarian in both principal and practice, my work is dedicated to the education and empowerment of women and children worldwide. As a father, my priority is to pass the values I hold onto my own children. As far back as I can remember, I can see my parents whispering to us their poems and legends defending liberty and justice. Today, preoccupied by the stress of day-to-day life, do parents really hear their children, themselves transfixed by their video games and computers? Misunderstandings are reciprocal. Now more than ever, generations must turn to one another, must speak, must meet. In the midst of endless communication opportunities, we cannot allow social isolation to bring our civilization to its end.” REZA

Witness to both the torments and splendours of humanity, in 2001 I founded the NGO AINA in order to provide women and children with practical training in the professional domain of media and communications.

The world is my field of vision. We are the storytellers of a humanity whose culture we share. From war to peace, from atrocities to
poetry, our testimonies tell these moments of life.”
